A car is one of the biggest investments that people have. And it does not imply that it should be those expensive cars. You must maintain it regularly since it is such a big investment.Like most things a car is the same in the sense that if you take care of it it will last longer. If you do not maintain it then it will develop problems faster than usual. So in this article we are going to look at ways you can make sure you don’t have a car that breaks down.
So it goes without saying you have to do some regular maintenance for your car. What’s good to know is that the expenses that you will make in maintaining your car would save you a lot in the long run on repairs. I see it all the time in my Vista auto repair shop.My clients who regularly bring their cars in for regular maintenance encounter a lot less major repairs as compared to those who do not.So by spending now on maintenance would save you a lot of money in the future.
Some things I always suggest for my customers of my Oceanside auto repair shop is to do regular oil changes. This simple maintenance service helps your car greatly.Changing oils regularly would maintain the smooth running of your car. It helps the engine last longer. The funny thing is that changing oils is an inexpensive thing to do. If you own a car you should always do oil changes for your car.
Another good thing you can do is make sure you do regular tuneups.Tune ups are good for your engine because it will make it go smoother.Plus doing tune ups would enable your mechanic to detect underlying problems. These problems would go unnoticed if you do not bring it for tune ups.
So those are a couple of things you can do to keep your car out of the auto shop. They are simple and they don’t cost as much as when you need a major repair.

One thing that people often don’t mind doing is maintaining their cars. They don’t realize the little time it takes to do can save them money. And it can also save them the time and hassle.Because maintenance will take a lot less time than repairs. So what can someone do to avoid extra expenses in auto repair?
Well, first thing you can do is to always keep your car tuned up. It is a simple maintenance procedure. But it is a procedure that will help your car last longer. In my Escondido auto repair shop I always encourage my clients to bring their car in for tune ups.It isn’t because I want them to spend more money and make my business richer. But for them to save a lot of money on repairs.
Another thing I always tell and encourage car owners is that they change the oils of their cars regularly. This simple procedure will go a long way.It can help in making the engine run smoother and make it last longer.Think of the oil as your car’s blood. It won’t survive just like a person that is losing a lot of blood.A car with low oil levels can damage its engine severely. I have seen it too many times where customers brought in a burnt out engine into my Oceanside auto repair shop. And the reason for this is just due to low oil levels. So be mindful of your car and change its oil regularly.
Lastly, I also tell my clients to always check their transmission. The transmission is a part of a car that is expensive to replace just like the engine. But having it last long is easy. You just need to take care of it regularly. In my transmission repair shop, I always say to my clients that they should always watch their transmission fluid.Neglecting the level of it and make it go so low will ruin your transmission.
So, that is it.Performing these simple things will enable you to save a lot on money on repairs. And your car will also last longer.

One of the things that people can’t live without is a car.If you think about it, most of the people in modern countries can’t live without it. It truly is a necessity most of the time. But it is an expensive thing to buy as well. Not just in the price you pay for the car.But also in the expenses that one will incur on repairs and maintenance. And if you truly want to get the most out of your car you need to keep it maintained. So here are some of the tips on keeping your car in good shape.
First thing you need to do is change the oil regularly. A simple thing to do but is a very important thing for your car. I try to remind the customers of my auto repair San Diego shop how important it is. By regularly changing the oils of your car will definitely make your car last longer. But neglecting it would bring major damages to your car.Your car’s engine will fail if there is no oil in it. That would result to a very expensive repair if it does happen.
Failing a smog test is another result of not regularly changing the oil of yor car.If you pair this with not regularly making your car undergo tuneups will lead to an easy failure of a smog check. It happens all the time at my smog test San Diego shop.I met a lot of people that bring their cars in and haven’t changed their oils yet. And they also did not make their cars undergo tuneups. Consequently their cars ran bad.And their engines also had problems. So they failed their smog test. But those are just the beginning of the problems. Not doing those steps to take care of your cars will lead to major problems.
Finally, you must take care of your brakes. This is another essential part of your car that is always used. Plus it is another part of your car that can cost a lot to fix. One of the pieces of advice I give to all my San Diego brake service clients is to take care of their brakes.Abiding by these steps will make your car last longer.

One of the most important parts of your car is your transmission. And it is not just one of the most important part but also one of the most expensive to repair or replace. If you have to get it repaired it is very costly. That is the reason why you have to take care of it.Because if you do not take care of it, it will hurt you in the long run. So here are some tips to take better care of your transmission.
First of all one of the minor things that always causing big problems is the fluid. Not having enough transmission fluid causes so much damage that I see it happen all the time in my Escondido auto repair shop. The sad part about it is that it could have been avoided. All a person needs to do is to always check his/her car’s fluid levels. If it gets low go ahead and add some more.Doing this task is very easy but a very crucial one because it will save a lot of money on repairs.
Second thing you want to do is make sure to not shift gears while moving. You would be surprised at the number of cars that come in damaged in my Oceanside transmission repair shop from this problem alone. Don’t get impatient and shift gears while moving. That would be another very easy thing to do. But the inability to do it will damage your transmission bit by bit.
Finally, do not let your transmission overheat. An overheated transmission will be damaged more easily. I always advise my Oceanside auto repair clients to make sure to add a coolant type of additive to their fluid. This will help your transmission to run cooler.
If a person abides by these tips then his/her car’s transmission will have the ability to last longer.Failure to do so will hurt them financially and their transmission willhave a shorter lifespan.Since these things are so easy to do then it won’t be so much of a bother.

One of the most expensive parts of the car to replace is the transmission. There are even times when replacing the transmission system will cost more than replacing your car with a new one.So, armed with that knowledge car owners should be more careful of their cars. One of the ways to do that is to pay attention to your car. What I mean to say is that there are signs to tell you if there is something going on with your transmission. Because repairing minor problems is better and cheaper than full blown damages.
The first sign that you can easily see and look out for is a leak. A lot of times I have cars brought into my Escondido auto repair shop where the problem started with a simple leak. You should be on the lookout for red leaks. If you see any red fluids leaking from your car then that comes from your transmission. And damages can be incurred if your car’s fluid levels are low.If you see any red fluids leaking from your car immediately fill your car with more transmission fluids. Then go bring it to an auto repair shop to have the leak fixed.
Another thing that you must be on the watch for are noises and vibrations coming from the transmission of your car. From my experience running my Oceanside transmission repair shop those noises are a sign of a couple of things. It could be an indication of low fluid level.Or your car’s transmission cables are damaged. Immediately have your car looked at for those problems.
Finally, you should always be on the lookout for an overheating transmission. That will be the biggest proof that your transmission is having problems. I see all the time cars brought into my Oceanside auto repair shop that had that problem. Most of the cars were brought in too late. So rather than having an inexpensive repair it was a major repair.
You can avoid major expenses if you just follow those steps and observe your car.It is a simple task and it can save you a lot on expenses and repairs.

One thing that people hate about having cars is its maintenance. It is a hassle to bring it into the auto repair shop. It is a hassle taking the time waiting for your car to get fixed. And another thing is it costs a lot of money. What people don’t realize is if they had done some routine maintenance they could have avoided it.They might have avoided the repairs that they paid for.
During my ownership of my auto repair San Diego business I always advise my clients to do regular maintenance.I try to show them that just by doing simple things to their cars costly repairs can be avoided. But their cars will not only run better. They will be more happy with the performance of the car that they own. This can all be the result when they just take care of their cars properly.
First thing that they should do is to make their cars undergo regular tune ups. By keeping your car tuned up your engine runs smoother. Plus by doing things of a tune up it will help when you have to do a smog test. One of the biggest cause of failures in my smog test San Diego shop is the fact that people neglected their tune ups.Doing regular tune ups to your car can help the owners in avoiding a smog test failure.
So another one thing I suggest to all my clients is to always check the brakes. One of the most costly repairs people bring into my San Diego brake service is fixing the brakes.Something as simple as breaks may cost a lot and burn a hole in the car owner’s pockets. It can really be costly to car owners if their car’s brake system needs to be replaced. But doing a step as simple as checking the fluid levels will prevent this from happening.Make sure also to check if there any noise coming from the breaks.Detecting brake problems at an early stage will lessen the damage and the repair costs.
Doing these few simple steps will enable car owners to save a lot of money on repairs and replacement parts.

One of the most costly repairs on a car is the transmission. It is one of those repairs you hate to hear you have to do.So without question people are searching for methods to get their car to last longer.Or they are interested in knowing if it even can be done. Like most things it is possible. You can do things that will help it last longer and that is by taking care of it. But here are more specific things you can do to make your transmission last longer.
First thing you will need to do is be sure to keep your fluids at the right level.Just like most things in your vehicle you want to have your fluids at the right level. But in regards to your transmission it is imperative if you truly want it to last longer. Whenever a client takes there car in to the Oceanside transmission repair shop I run I always check their fluids.I make sure to suggest to them to keep a watchful eye on their fluid levels. If they attempt to drive their car with fluids that are low they will definitely ruin their transmission. Or it won’t last as long as they want.
Second thing you have to know is that heat can hurt your transmission. So you are going to want to find ways to get your transmission to run cooler. One of the best ways to do that is to add transmission cooler. You can find some easily at an auto parts dealer. Of course when clients come and bring their cars in to our Escondido auto repair shop we add it in also. This gives the transmission the ability to run cooler.
Finally this way is going to be easy.Don’t ever try to shift the gears while your car is moving. You will be shocked at how many people do ruin their vehicles because they shifted the gear while the car was in motion. I am not because we see it all the time in our Oceanside auto repair shop.People have their cars come in with transmissions ruined because they tried to shift while it was moving.

One auto repair for your car that is very expensive is doing some transmission repair. It is a major part of your vehicle.Being sure to take care of it is really important. By taking care of your car you can save yourself a lot of money. Since you can’t fix it yourself here are some ways to check it at home.By having some of the checking done at home you can see if it needs to be brought in.
First off since I own a Vista auto repair shop I know how expensive transmission repairs can be.So i like to have my clients do some checks themselves prior to taking it in. This way they can make sure they need to come in. First off they can check the fluid. The fluid has to be clear. If it is black or dark that is a sign of a problem and they need to take their car in.
Second thing they can check at home is to check the gear shifting. You can perform this by just shifting the gears from park to drive.Or you can shift it from park to reverse. What you are looking for is for the gears to shift smoothly. What you hope doesn’t happen is a jerking motion. If you find that your car is jerking that is an indication of problems with your transmission. In my La Costa transmission repair shop this is one of the big signs of transmission problems.Quite a few cars that are brought in have this problem.
Finallyl what you can check for is any leaks of your transmission fluid. This is another thing you can do with your dipstick. But you won’t be able to tell unless you do this checking regularly. I advise all my customers in my La Costa auto repair shop to always check your fluids. People are familiar with checking for oil.But their transmission fluid is something they need to check also. This way they can tell if their fluid is leaking.
If you follow these tips you can make sure your car’s transmission stays good.

One thing a lot of people are unaware of is how important your car’s maintenance is. We take for granted these cars that get us around wherever we want to go.We seem not to understand that our safety is always at risk whenever we go driving. Plus they seem unaware to the fact your car is also in danger whenever there is driving done.So the following are two very important auto repair jobs for your car.
First off it is important for the overall health of your car to always do tuneups. What I mean is to have a regular tune up schedule for your car.As previously stated your car will be one of your major investments. If you don’t take care of it you are opening it up to the risk of severe damage. I have seen many clients ruin their vehicle and take it into my auto repair San Diego shop after the fact.I notice that if there was just some routine maintenance performed, a lot of the problems could have been avoided.
Another point to take in is the fact when you do regular tuneups you will also make your car run cleaner. With so much emphasis falling on clean air and emmissions it is important.Because if you don’t take the time to maintain your car you are in danger of not passing a smog test. I have seen older cars that when taken care of pass with flying colors in my smog test San Diego shop by doing regular tune ups. I have seen the other way around as well. Cars that weren’t taken care of fail miserably.
Finally a very important part to your car is the brakes. But people neglect it all the time.By not maintaining your brakes what you do is run the risk of more expensive repair costs. In my San Diego brake service I see cars have expensive brake repair jobs because they didn’t do simple maintenance. By doing some regular checking of their brakes.Or if regular maintenance and checks were done on it, that could have save them money.

The transmission is one of the most expensive parts of a car to be repaired. Most of the cars that are sold nowadays are built well. But it will be damaged eventually and it can be very expensive to fix. So you want to always maintain your transmission. So now let’s discuss what are the signs of problem to come for your car’s transmission.
First thing that can signal a problem with the transmission is by looking at the fluids. If you go to check the fluid with a dipstick it can give you a sign. If you find that the fluid is low it could be a sign of a leak.If the fluid has a burnt smell or is dark in color then that is a sure sign of problems.Always check the fluids of your car to make sure that there won’t be any major damage in the transmission of your car. If you observe one these signs then that would also be a sign for you that you need to go immediately to an auto repair shop. I catch a lot of transmission problems early in my Escondido transmission repair shop with these signs alone.
Another sign of problems for your car’s transmission is when you shift it into drive and there is a delay. If you shift it and it takes a moment to get into gear that is a sign of a problem. Delay of engagement is what they call that problem. This could be a sign that the transmission is too worn or some other problem. I have all my clients take it into my Escondido auto repair shop anytime they get the delayed engagement problem.
Finally when you are driving the vehicle if shifting of gears is jerky there is a problem. All shifting done when driving should be smooth and not jerky. This is the sign of a worn transmission if your car jerks everytime it shifts gear. I catch a lot of problems early in my Oceanside transmission repair shop when this happens. By catching it early a customer can save a lot of money in repairs.
