A car is one of the biggest investments that people have. And it does not imply that it should be those expensive cars. You must maintain it regularly since it is such a big investment.Like most things a car is the same in the sense that if you take care of it it will last longer. If you do not maintain it then it will develop problems faster than usual. So in this article we are going to look at ways you can make sure you don’t have a car that breaks down.
So it goes without saying you have to do some regular maintenance for your car. What’s good to know is that the expenses that you will make in maintaining your car would save you a lot in the long run on repairs. I see it all the time in my Vista auto repair shop.My clients who regularly bring their cars in for regular maintenance encounter a lot less major repairs as compared to those who do not.So by spending now on maintenance would save you a lot of money in the future.
Some things I always suggest for my customers of my Oceanside auto repair shop is to do regular oil changes. This simple maintenance service helps your car greatly.Changing oils regularly would maintain the smooth running of your car. It helps the engine last longer. The funny thing is that changing oils is an inexpensive thing to do. If you own a car you should always do oil changes for your car.
Another good thing you can do is make sure you do regular tuneups.Tune ups are good for your engine because it will make it go smoother.Plus doing tune ups would enable your mechanic to detect underlying problems. These problems would go unnoticed if you do not bring it for tune ups.
So those are a couple of things you can do to keep your car out of the auto shop. They are simple and they don’t cost as much as when you need a major repair.

One thing that people often don’t mind doing is maintaining their cars. They don’t realize the little time it takes to do can save them money. And it can also save them the time and hassle.Because maintenance will take a lot less time than repairs. So what can someone do to avoid extra expenses in auto repair?
Well, first thing you can do is to always keep your car tuned up. It is a simple maintenance procedure. But it is a procedure that will help your car last longer. In my Escondido auto repair shop I always encourage my clients to bring their car in for tune ups.It isn’t because I want them to spend more money and make my business richer. But for them to save a lot of money on repairs.
Another thing I always tell and encourage car owners is that they change the oils of their cars regularly. This simple procedure will go a long way.It can help in making the engine run smoother and make it last longer.Think of the oil as your car’s blood. It won’t survive just like a person that is losing a lot of blood.A car with low oil levels can damage its engine severely. I have seen it too many times where customers brought in a burnt out engine into my Oceanside auto repair shop. And the reason for this is just due to low oil levels. So be mindful of your car and change its oil regularly.
Lastly, I also tell my clients to always check their transmission. The transmission is a part of a car that is expensive to replace just like the engine. But having it last long is easy. You just need to take care of it regularly. In my transmission repair shop, I always say to my clients that they should always watch their transmission fluid.Neglecting the level of it and make it go so low will ruin your transmission.
So, that is it.Performing these simple things will enable you to save a lot on money on repairs. And your car will also last longer.

One of the most important parts of your car is your transmission. And it is not just one of the most important part but also one of the most expensive to repair or replace. If you have to get it repaired it is very costly. That is the reason why you have to take care of it.Because if you do not take care of it, it will hurt you in the long run. So here are some tips to take better care of your transmission.
First of all one of the minor things that always causing big problems is the fluid. Not having enough transmission fluid causes so much damage that I see it happen all the time in my Escondido auto repair shop. The sad part about it is that it could have been avoided. All a person needs to do is to always check his/her car’s fluid levels. If it gets low go ahead and add some more.Doing this task is very easy but a very crucial one because it will save a lot of money on repairs.
Second thing you want to do is make sure to not shift gears while moving. You would be surprised at the number of cars that come in damaged in my Oceanside transmission repair shop from this problem alone. Don’t get impatient and shift gears while moving. That would be another very easy thing to do. But the inability to do it will damage your transmission bit by bit.
Finally, do not let your transmission overheat. An overheated transmission will be damaged more easily. I always advise my Oceanside auto repair clients to make sure to add a coolant type of additive to their fluid. This will help your transmission to run cooler.
If a person abides by these tips then his/her car’s transmission will have the ability to last longer.Failure to do so will hurt them financially and their transmission willhave a shorter lifespan.Since these things are so easy to do then it won’t be so much of a bother.

One of the most expensive parts of the car to replace is the transmission. There are even times when replacing the transmission system will cost more than replacing your car with a new one.So, armed with that knowledge car owners should be more careful of their cars. One of the ways to do that is to pay attention to your car. What I mean to say is that there are signs to tell you if there is something going on with your transmission. Because repairing minor problems is better and cheaper than full blown damages.
The first sign that you can easily see and look out for is a leak. A lot of times I have cars brought into my Escondido auto repair shop where the problem started with a simple leak. You should be on the lookout for red leaks. If you see any red fluids leaking from your car then that comes from your transmission. And damages can be incurred if your car’s fluid levels are low.If you see any red fluids leaking from your car immediately fill your car with more transmission fluids. Then go bring it to an auto repair shop to have the leak fixed.
Another thing that you must be on the watch for are noises and vibrations coming from the transmission of your car. From my experience running my Oceanside transmission repair shop those noises are a sign of a couple of things. It could be an indication of low fluid level.Or your car’s transmission cables are damaged. Immediately have your car looked at for those problems.
Finally, you should always be on the lookout for an overheating transmission. That will be the biggest proof that your transmission is having problems. I see all the time cars brought into my Oceanside auto repair shop that had that problem. Most of the cars were brought in too late. So rather than having an inexpensive repair it was a major repair.
You can avoid major expenses if you just follow those steps and observe your car.It is a simple task and it can save you a lot on expenses and repairs.

One of the most costly repairs on a car is the transmission. It is one of those repairs you hate to hear you have to do.So without question people are searching for methods to get their car to last longer.Or they are interested in knowing if it even can be done. Like most things it is possible. You can do things that will help it last longer and that is by taking care of it. But here are more specific things you can do to make your transmission last longer.
First thing you will need to do is be sure to keep your fluids at the right level.Just like most things in your vehicle you want to have your fluids at the right level. But in regards to your transmission it is imperative if you truly want it to last longer. Whenever a client takes there car in to the Oceanside transmission repair shop I run I always check their fluids.I make sure to suggest to them to keep a watchful eye on their fluid levels. If they attempt to drive their car with fluids that are low they will definitely ruin their transmission. Or it won’t last as long as they want.
Second thing you have to know is that heat can hurt your transmission. So you are going to want to find ways to get your transmission to run cooler. One of the best ways to do that is to add transmission cooler. You can find some easily at an auto parts dealer. Of course when clients come and bring their cars in to our Escondido auto repair shop we add it in also. This gives the transmission the ability to run cooler.
Finally this way is going to be easy.Don’t ever try to shift the gears while your car is moving. You will be shocked at how many people do ruin their vehicles because they shifted the gear while the car was in motion. I am not because we see it all the time in our Oceanside auto repair shop.People have their cars come in with transmissions ruined because they tried to shift while it was moving.

One auto repair for your car that is very expensive is doing some transmission repair. It is a major part of your vehicle.Being sure to take care of it is really important. By taking care of your car you can save yourself a lot of money. Since you can’t fix it yourself here are some ways to check it at home.By having some of the checking done at home you can see if it needs to be brought in.
First off since I own a Vista auto repair shop I know how expensive transmission repairs can be.So i like to have my clients do some checks themselves prior to taking it in. This way they can make sure they need to come in. First off they can check the fluid. The fluid has to be clear. If it is black or dark that is a sign of a problem and they need to take their car in.
Second thing they can check at home is to check the gear shifting. You can perform this by just shifting the gears from park to drive.Or you can shift it from park to reverse. What you are looking for is for the gears to shift smoothly. What you hope doesn’t happen is a jerking motion. If you find that your car is jerking that is an indication of problems with your transmission. In my La Costa transmission repair shop this is one of the big signs of transmission problems.Quite a few cars that are brought in have this problem.
Finallyl what you can check for is any leaks of your transmission fluid. This is another thing you can do with your dipstick. But you won’t be able to tell unless you do this checking regularly. I advise all my customers in my La Costa auto repair shop to always check your fluids. People are familiar with checking for oil.But their transmission fluid is something they need to check also. This way they can tell if their fluid is leaking.
If you follow these tips you can make sure your car’s transmission stays good.

The transmission is one of the most expensive parts of a car to be repaired. Most of the cars that are sold nowadays are built well. But it will be damaged eventually and it can be very expensive to fix. So you want to always maintain your transmission. So now let’s discuss what are the signs of problem to come for your car’s transmission.
First thing that can signal a problem with the transmission is by looking at the fluids. If you go to check the fluid with a dipstick it can give you a sign. If you find that the fluid is low it could be a sign of a leak.If the fluid has a burnt smell or is dark in color then that is a sure sign of problems.Always check the fluids of your car to make sure that there won’t be any major damage in the transmission of your car. If you observe one these signs then that would also be a sign for you that you need to go immediately to an auto repair shop. I catch a lot of transmission problems early in my Escondido transmission repair shop with these signs alone.
Another sign of problems for your car’s transmission is when you shift it into drive and there is a delay. If you shift it and it takes a moment to get into gear that is a sign of a problem. Delay of engagement is what they call that problem. This could be a sign that the transmission is too worn or some other problem. I have all my clients take it into my Escondido auto repair shop anytime they get the delayed engagement problem.
Finally when you are driving the vehicle if shifting of gears is jerky there is a problem. All shifting done when driving should be smooth and not jerky. This is the sign of a worn transmission if your car jerks everytime it shifts gear. I catch a lot of problems early in my Oceanside transmission repair shop when this happens. By catching it early a customer can save a lot of money in repairs.

Cars are made better than ever before.Even those cars that were considered cheap and not a good car last longer now.But there would still be problems even though cars right now are more durable than the old ones.A transmission problem is one of the biggest problems a car can acquire. It is not just one of the biggest problems but it can also be one of the most costly.
So here are some things to look for that I have learned running my Escondido transmission repair company.First thing you should do is to maintain the level of your fluids at a good level or, better yet, fill them up regularly. If you do not do this then there is the possibility of damaging your transmission in no time.So always carry around your dipstick for you to be able to check the fluid levels of your car.Be sure it is at a stable level.
Second while you are checking it you want to check to see if it is dirty.A transmission fluid that is dirty is a sign of problems that would come. If you find that the fluids are dirty or black then have it checked immediately. I get cars in all the time at my Oceanside transmission repair shop that have this problem. But in bringing in their cars early for checkups they were able to avoid more expensive repairs or replacements.
But if you go ahead and do the maintenance yourself then you should be careful. When you change the fluids make sure you buy the right fluid for your transmission. You would be surprised but it does happen where people put in the wrong type of fluid. If someone were to do this it could burn up your transmission immediately. So make sure to put the right kind when changing your fluids. I tell all my clients of my Escondido auto repair shop when in doubt just have professionals do it for you.It makes sense because this part of your car is very expensive to replace.
So if you follow these few pointers you may be able to maintain your transmission. Doing this only takes a few minutes but can save thousands.

As the down economy affects more people it also affects their buying habits. One big area that has been affected is the area of car buying. In better times people would just go out and buy a new car.Now if they are in need of another vehicle they have to buy it used. That isn’t a bad thing since used cars do offer more value if you do it right. But if you do it wrong it could cost you more money.
One areas that is easily done wrong is the transmission. Although transmissions are now more reliable they still are expensive. In other words it is easy to break and expensive to fix. That is a bad combination and I have seen many of my clients suffer from this in my Escondido transmission repair company. They go out and buy a used car and they end up spending thousands more.
One thing you can check is a car’s history. You are going to want to inquire for any service records. That way you can see if it was a rental.Or it will let you see if this vehicle had been in any accidents. So what you are going to want to find out is if it had any issues with the transmission. That is one thing I have all my clients of my Oceanside transmission repair shop to do is check the vehicle’s records.
Something else you can check is going over the transmission fluid levels. All you have to do is start the car and let it idle. Then you just check the transmission dipstick. If the fluid is low this is a good sign that it might be leaking. If you find that the fluid is very dirty or even black, don’t even think about buying that car.It is a good gauge that there may be transmission problems. The last thing you want to do is buy a used car then end up having to bring it into my Escondido auto repair shop to fix the transmission.Perform these steps and you will save a lot of money.
